Band schedule for Roskilde is out!

See the band schedule for Roskilde ‘06

The band schedule for this year’s festival is ready!

Each year, we work hard on allocating all performing artists at Roskilde Festival’s seven stages. Now the great puzzle has finally come together with days, times and stages for all concerts.

On our website you can even put together your very own band schedule, so you can prepare yourself in advance for which bands you simply must see.

Please notice that changes and adjustments may occur in the final line-up.

I got a hold of a couple songs of Muse's new album (Black Holes and Revelations) and it's Delicious!!! they remain my favorite band with Pink Floyd and I give their new album 9 out of 10 as I'm a huge fan and they met my expectations... may be even more than I expected!!!!

Roskilde news

this was taken from rosklide website:

As usual, our neighbours Sweden and Norway are responsible for an excellent ticket sale for Roskilde Festival. And as something quite unusual, England is the fourth best buying country. A couple of thousand English people have already announced their arrival, and tickets are still sold rapidly on the British Isles. After England, also Germany, Holland, Finland and Island have bought a great number of tickets.

Additionally, people come from even further corners of the globe this year. No less than 119 Australians have bought tickets, and 59 tickets have been handed over the counter in USA. Quite a trip to experience one of the biggest festivals in the world!

Furthermore, guests from China, New Zealand, Japan, Malaysia, Brazil, Kuwait and Mexico will participate this year – besides, of course, the many European countries where more or less every country is represented.

Roskilde Festival is truly an international festival – something which helps secure the special Roskilde atmosphere.

Ticket sales are booming and we can all look forward to a packed festival this summer.

As something special for our foreign guests outside Europe, we would like to hear the story behind your decision to come to this year’s festival. So send us a mail with “international ticket” in the subject line to info@roskilde-festival.dk and tell us about yourself in a Roskilde context.

New Muse single aired for the first time yesterday!!!

The new Muse single was first played yesterday on BBC radio 1. "Super Massive Black Hole" and I really like it!!! and I really like it!

This new single is a mix of Muse and funk. I'm sure that the more you listen to it the more you love it!!! Malou and I and the radio host all concluded that if Muse were to do a cover of Prince, that is how it would sound. The single will be out officially on june 19th and their new album "Black Holes and Revelations" will be out July 3rd.

Discoveries

It has been a little while since I last wrote, school got a little in the way! So this morning I went on a blog tour and a music hunt and here are my discoveries:

**Muse, MY ALL TIME FAVORITE BAND, first new single was aired for the first time yesterday on BBC1 radio. I can't find it so tell me if you can!!!***

First Malou, my girlfriend made me discover Gnarls Barkley over the weekend and I've been listening to his song "crazy" at least 4 times a day since!!!! This soul, electronic, pop sound is great and mellow and fits perfectly with my summer smile!!!!! you can listen to it its MySpace and check out his website here.

Domotic, a french electro artist! I watched the video here and checked out its MySpace, and it,s not bad... to me it might sound too much like postal service... but mey be that is just me! I found Domotic on DoCopenhagen, a great music blog.

In need of some primus sound, here is Travis Morrison and it's pretty good!!! You can listen to 2 of his songs here:

Travis Morrison - What's your fantasy

Travis Morrison - Born in '72 (mp3)

Roskilde Band : Lis er stille

Lis er stille is a danish band that I just fell in love with over the weekend!

My favorite band is probably Muse and Lis er stille creates music that I could and would compare to the kind of music Muse makes. Lis er stille is a composition band founded in 2004 that is becoming very popular in Denmark on the indie scene making it to #1 with their song "Styrke" on the top 10 of Barometer, the indie rock danish internet radio.

You can listen to this song on their MySpace account here or in an asx format. Beware that it starts very slow, but the 8 minutes song builds up and the climax is a mix of piano, guitars, bass, drums and its worth listening to!!!

The concept of the band is:"The idea was to transform Vindrils surreal paintings into music. Suddenly the music became so powerful, that a band was build up around it. " They will be playing at Roskilde festival and also at SPOT festival in early june here is Aarhus!

Sadly they don't have much material available online because their website is still under construction, but you can visit it here: http://www.liserstille.dk/
